I have a nighthawk 700 and the crank bearing has gone out (very load
knocking from the bottom end) at this point in my venture I either
need to replace the motor or junk the bike. I have been told that the
crank needs replacing and that this is somthing that can not be turned

pumps (mine doesn't - carb swap). I don't know about the newer ones
however.

Perhaps its fuel starvation from the petcock? Crimped fuel
line? Loose stuff in the bottom of the fuel tank perhaps?
