I make long passwords, I know. Weird thing is all my university related ones
are chopped off after 10 characters, but they're constantly harping on us
about maintaining our security
I ran a test a while back to bruteforce crack a password protected zip file.
I set up different length passwords and checked how long they took. 4chars
and less take practically no time. Mere seconds. 5 chars took a few minutes.
6 Chars took over an hour. 7 chars took 29 days. Safe to say an 8

AVG's not bad. The mbam will catch more, but it's more of a reactive thing than
a proactive. It's great to run after the fact, but it won't keep you from
getting infected in the first place
