Actually it sounds like you still need to remove the carbs. They probably
need to be cleaned.

They are really stuck on. I usually straddle the bike and grab the carbs by the
ends and wiggle and pull back. You have the air box unattached and pulled back
right?

They are really stuck on. I usually straddle the bike and grab the carbs by the
ends and wiggle and pull back. You have the air box unattached and pulled back
