For me it was, and when I looked at rust, I was encouraged and aided by their

I think a good, well written book by the core team has a lot of good statements
about the maturity and stability of the eco system.
I also read somewhere on here that the APIs in the book will be supported
If you really think that the book is still a good resource for learning Nim,
then we may consider buying back the rights from Manning (and Dom), so that at
least PDF version becomes freely available. Some people did such a rebuy, for
example Gunnar Wrobel with his German Gentoo book, when the

I suspect the Achilles Heel will be getting the message that there is possible
help out there. Maybe a sticky forum post, or a link on the FAQ?

This is a really good idea and I would love to do this, but the logistics seem
like a PITA. I have been planning to create a book give away
that may be true, but the question is where you get that BTC.
You can still use BTC at 15...
@dom96 deserves payment because it is an awesome resource and it requires
untold effort to produce a book.
It is also a shame that someone is denied access because of their situation.
The assumption we should challenge is that the funds must be provided by the
recipient!

Some public libraries take recommendations for what books to purchase, and do
free inter-library book shipping on request. Doesn't hurt to ask them.
