we just had a standup (each participant introduced himself/herself and
explained what they are going to work on today).
Main communication is going to be over #nixos on IRC so that people online

Does anyone know why the expand/collapse buttons doesn't work for the
VM build logs building them locally?

I've asked a relevant question on systemd-devel, on whether the support
initrd will be supported in the future[1].
Also, it seems that fedora uses systemd in initrd due to using dracut[2].

Wall hit: systemd calls binaries like mount etc.
First problem: they are hardcoded paths to the nix store, and it's hard to
change those references.
Possible solution: rebuild systemd in order to call /bin/mount instead.
That's easy.
Second problem: after switching root, those binaries are no mo

The problem is that systemd calls other binaries at runtime. systemd binary
references are nuked to /nix/store/e/bin/mount, for example.
Probably there are no such examples in the current initrd that I can look
at.

Hi, I've discovered that Skype doesn't see my audio devices any more.
Investigation shows that no ALSA support exist in Skype any more so I
had to install PulseAudio service to make it work again. Should we
declare somehow this new dependency?

http://smartos.org ) image preinstalled with nix and my nixpkgs
(https://github.com/vizanto/nixpkgs ) fork.
It uses the fork mainly to provide easier updates, and my pull request is
