Hi Marc, (and others),
Thanks for the mails you sent me in reply to my support request [1] in
February, I tried to follow them as good as I could.
But, since there was a pull request, which allegedly would enable me to
use the new gutenprint necessary for my Canon PIXMA MG5200 printer, I

hello everyone,
can anybody explain to me or give me some hints on how to use any
gutenprint print drivers?
there are the packages gutenprint and gutenprintBin. both are happy
being added to services.printing.drivers. none of them seems to add
anything to the share/cups/model directory of cups-pr

oh cool. yes, it does yield the same path as nix-prefetch-url.
together with the observation, that "nix-store --add" also
to summarize i don't understand, why:
# nix-store --add test.mp4
stores into
/nix/store/z3wnqmfzqfmz5gis55bvymx3jbpgx7s5-test.mp4

/nix/store/z3wnqmfzqfmz5gis55bvymx3jbpgx7s5-test.mp4
and

nix-prefetch-url and the resulting store paths?
would anyone care to enlighten me?

hej,
i've just been debugging emacs remote editing per ssh onto a nixos
machine, and found that emacs fails to find the correct path on the
remote machine and then errors out on missing the ls command.
for determining the correct value of PATH it invokes getconf PATH. on
nixos and archlinux this

configuration.nix. this lets krita, okular and gwenview work like
expected. only plugins as in gwenview's plugin menu don't show up.
am i doing evil stuff, which will hunt me later?
