I had a power failure before and my MythTV box went down un-gracefully.
Several recordings that should have happened, after powering back on,
displayed:
"This showing was recorded but was deleted before recording was completed".
Tonight I needed to reboot, so I did a sudo /sbin/reboot about 11 pm.
Was the message displayed "A power failure, I can forgive things not being
exactly right. A reboot command should have shut things down nicely and
not had any issues." or is that your text?

There was no message displayed concerning the power failure or a reboot
command. That was just my thoughts. Power failure, database, some
inconsistent state (though why it would flip one or more bits on programs
whose time hasn't come yet, so should not have even thought of flipping
bits yet...).

Yes, two programs this morning recorded fine.
Also remembering more about the power fail incident, I noticed the first
program that had been set to record didn't. So I went in, found the next
show I wanted to record on the schedule, and clicked "Schedule Override:
Record this specific showing".
