Just for everyone's info, Since NLUG is mainly about FOSS (and for many other reasons) I don't want to get off topic by talking about cryptocurrencies, but I'm finding the tech extremely interesting and I believe it will benefit everyone to be informed.
For anyone interested, one thing I learned about Ethereum is that it's in a sense an OS with many other cryptocurrencies acting as applications and protocols on top of Ethereum. Quoted From Coinbase: "Ethereum is both a cryptocurrency and a decentralized computing platform. Developers can use the platform to create decentralized applications and issue new crypto assets, known as Ethereum tokens". Here is a link, https://www.coinbase.com/rewards at which I got paid a few digital bucks to view some one and two minute videos. Thanks for what I've been able to learn from everyone on this list. M PS. one reason I want to stay on the topic of tech and not investing or money is because I was born in NYC and worked at a French investment bank overlooking Times Square. I didn't want to make a career of it and just wanted to see some of the goings on- I saw more than I wanted to see; it was a horrible experience for me (my own fault) -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
