I don't have a Linux desktop and I would rather not dual boot my Mac if it's not a huge benefit. I can install a vm and bring that. Not sure what would be the best for what we will be doing Saturday. Suggestions?
VM is fine, as long as it works & you've got internet connectivity (CentOS 7 has issues with some legacy 100Meg NICs, which we'll cover in session #1, as well as workarounds). Live DVD/USB boots are probably ok for classes if you have a way to save your changes (like, writing data to another USB stick possibly; I haven't explored this option, so I can't really advise yea or nay; if anyone tries this, please let us know how well it works). For some reason, the web version of the mailing list/group wasn't updating for me; apologies for not replying sooner, everyone. ~~Dru PS - Still tweaking slides, will probably have them up on google docs for pre-session dl in pdf and odt sometime in the AM hours. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
