Maybe a bad SATA cable, bad power SATA power connector, or bad SATA settings
in the BIOS (set to AHCI, when it should be legacy IDE or vice versa)?

Thanks for the thoughts. No SATA in this beast. These bad boys have
the Windows 2000 COAs
Could be the IDE cable or power connector/supply?

That sounds like a hardware or BIOS problem. The first thing I would do would
be to check for cabling problems. If the BIOS is socketed, check to see if it
is firmly seated in the socket. The next step, if possible, would be to burn
or flash a new copy of the BIOS, copied from one the working
to do, do what I meant
