But .markdown files cannot be natively viewed on usual computers. HTML/
CHM is a more friendly format.

It's available in HTML in the tarball.
It is just markdown in git though. Sorry, forgot about that.

I think the main reason was for offline reasons. but one could argue to
just save the all.html file as well.
