CALL FOR PAPERS 6TH WSEAS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON APPLIED MATHEMATICS
SPECIAL SESSION ON PARALLEL PROCESSING FOR SCIENTIFIC COMPUTING August 17-19, 2004, Corfu, GREECE http://www.worldses.org/conferences/2004/corfu/math/index.html Introduction The WSEAS (The World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society) is a world, scientific-engineering, academic, nonprofitable organization that promotes the development and the unified consideration of new mathematical methods and computational techniques as well as their applications in science and engineering. Also, WSEAS supports, in general, the research and the diffusion of the scientific and engineering knowledge, especially in the areas of mathematics, computer science and electrical engineering as well as their interaction with other sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, engineering, earth sciences, space sciences, etc). Moreover, in accordance with its Articles, WSEAS supports research projects, grants scholarships and prizes, organizes international conferences, seminars, publishes journals and books, and carries out autonomous scientific/engineering research. It also collaborates with universities and state or private research centers and institutions. WSEAS was founded in 1996 as WSES and changed to WSEAS in 2001. 6th WSEAS International Conference on APPLIED MATHEMATICS is the 6th in the successfull history of the conference that was held in Athens, Greece (2000), Cairns, Australia (2001), Miedyzydroje, Poland (2002), Malta (2003), Florida (2004). SELECTED PAPERS are also published (after further review) in WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON MATHEMATICS. Congress Location The conference will be held in the 5-Star Hotel: CORFU HOLIDAY PALACE (former member of HILTON chain of hotels) and the participants will have discount rates in the room prices. An appropriate form will be distributed to all the authors after papers review. Undoubtedly the most beautiful of the Ionian islands if not all the islands in Greece, Corfu or Kerkyra is lush, green and covered with lemon and orange groves. Corfu has two sides, one is that of an escape into an exquisite serenity of natural beauty, while the other is that of fun and entertainment against a backdrop of long beaches and blue waters, cafes, taverns, bars, discos, nightclubs and casinos. Its history along with its natural beauty have made the island the ideal spot for holidays, and has been a popular resort since the beginning of tourism. Corfu is connected with Athens by plane (1 hour and 10 minutes). For more information about Corfu please click in following link. The SPECIAL SESSION ON PARALLEL PROCESSING FOR SCIENTIFIC COMPUTING aims at providing a forum for communication among the scientific computing, information technology, and computer science and engineering community members to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences on diverse topics on parallel and distributed processing in the field of Applied Mathematics. Topics Topics of particular interest include (without being limited to) the design and implementation of parallel and distributed algorithms applied to: - Linear Algebra and Applications, - Numerical Analysis and Applications, - Differential Equations and Applications, - Operational Research, - Optimization, - Discrete Mathematics, - Communications, - Control, - Simulation.
