nickva opened a new issue #688: Reuse http-based replication checkpoints when upgrading to https URL: https://github.com/apache/couchdb/issues/688 With https://letsencrypt.org/ offering free TSL certificate, upgrading from a previously http-only or http/https mixed service to an https-only is a common occurrence. Current replication checkpoints use the URI schema as part of the ID hash generation. So during upgrade all previous http-based replication checkpoints would become invalid.
