Should I try Linux from git, in case it was fixed in nouveau?

Hmmm... so that points to some difference between NV96 (my card) and NVA5. NVA5
exposes a few more extensions that NV96 does, but I can't imagine those would
matter...

Tested this out.
On Windows:
Both devices not visible in lspci. When you then start a game for example, the
NVIDIA VGA device becomes visible. The audio device not.
