Yes, that's a non-optimus setup.
I'll get you that capture. Right now I have this weird artifact on my primary
laptop screen that won't go away after booting the system a number of times @

I have tested and can confirm that using rawhide kernel
4.3.0-0.rc2.git1.2.fc24.x86_64 fixes the issues for me and boots using default
options.

Unbeknownst to me as I was writing this, 11.0.2 got released as an "emergency"
release and only contained a handful of fixes not including mine. Will have to
wait for 11.0.3.

I'm running kernel 4.3-rcX right now and I don't see this issue any longer.
However I do see something else (which I'll post to a separate bug). I guess it
would be worthwhile getting a ppa for mesa

I've recently pushed some patches which solved this issue in Witcher 2. They
should end up in Mesa 11.0.2 when that is released, but are already at mesa
HEAD:

This patch is needed by initramfs tools to detect
the required firmware files for the module.
This patch tests for either TEGRA_124_SOC or TEGRA_132_SOC
for the firmwares related to the Tegra K1 generation.
v2: move the MODULE_FIRMWARE to the nvidia_platform.c file.
