Thanks Ilia. Do you mean that I need to add both LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 and
QSG_RENDER_LOOP=basic to /etc/environment or either of them? By the way, any of
them slows down graphics

--- Comment #29 from Ilia Mirkin ---
Can someone see whether sticking
QSG_RENDER_LOOP=basic
into /etc/environment helps anything?

Apparently Qt/KDE's threading can be disabled with
QSG_RENDER_LOOP=basic
Try putting that into /etc/environment and logging out/in (to make sure that
it's there).

Olivier, can you see if this patch with mesa helps?
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/132414/
It helped in the repro of bug #99354.

I have been unable to trigger the issue locally with the following mesa patch:
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/132414/
Please try to see if this also resolves your problems.

While I was not able to hit the issue by replaying your trace, I grabbed
glmark2, and with
MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=2.0 ./build/src/glmark2 -b

Cool thanks! I think a similar issue has been reported before, and I stared at
that code with little success. Having a reproducible issue that I can poke at
should definitely make success
