Hello PSO colleagues, We are cancelling our monthly call for tomorrow April 8 and will let you know when we reschedule.
As you know, Indicator 14 is now a new Indicator and there are significant changes. We are working with OSEP to answer the many questions we have received from you all and will get the FAQ to you as soon as possible. Once we have answers, we will also be revising tools such as our Data Collection Protocols. States will submit the new Indicator 14 data Feb. 1, 2011. We know there are questions regarding data collection this year (for students who left school in 2007-08). States can, of course, maintain existing momentum and certainly have the option of collecting the data. We understand some states plan to collect the data using their current systems; others are waiting for further clarification, others are changing their systems now to adapt to the new indicator requirements. As always we are available to discuss your post-school outcome data collection systems with you. We do hope to see you all at the Secondary Transition Institute in Charlotte, NC, May 12-14, 2009. We have a full agenda of great keynote presentations (Dean Fixen, Ruth Ryder, and a panel of excited young adults), team time, lots of excellent content session, and plenty of time to learn from other states!
