[ns] An editor to modify NS-2 C++ files ?

Hello the list, I'm now modifying NS-2 C++ files directly in the installation folder using Eclipse with C++ plug in, but it doesn't have any comparable advantage to a lightweight editor. Anyone has experience in this, how we can use an editor that can display hints, can complete a keyword/functio
