I have been playing around with:

$ns_ at 0.0 “node_(4) off”

…

 

And we have found out that this instruction turns the energy model of the
node on/off keeping the previous node state. I would like to know what does
the node do when is off (red colour) does it receive messages? Does it send
messages? Is the node completely switched off?

 

I am asking these questions because I am very interested on switching nodes
on/off from the tcl script, and I believe this could be an easy approach in
order to achieve this goal.
