Hi, all! I am simulating video multicast on ns-2.26, using RTP, aodv and 802.11e.The load rate is about 5Mbps (packet interval: 2.5ms, packet size: 1356bytes). I have already used some methods to speed up ns2 from http://www.cs.binghamton.edu/~kliu/research/ns2code/ and http://netlab.caltech.edu/~weixl/technical/ns2patch/ . However, the simulation is still very slow. It needs about 2 hours for 1000 seconds simulation and 24 hours for 5000 seconds simulation. Is this speed normal? How to speed up it further?
