Go to this site (hpds.ee.ncku.edu.tw/~smallko/ns2/ns229.pdf )and download
the Installation manual pdf.
This procedure is straightforward and works for windows installation without
any hitches. Remember to follow every step carefully.
Good luck

Hey all
I installed NS-2.30 now after deleting all of ns-2.29 and it installs fine
but after that when I run the example1a.tcl it gives me the same error and
that too there is no directory like ns-allinone-2.29w
ERROR:
When configured, ns found the right version of tclsh in
/root/ns-allinone-2.2
hallo Ray,
my suggestion, write these in your cygwin terminal:
tar xzvf ns-allinone-2.28-cygwin-binaries.zip
then go into the ns-allinone ... directory
then type
./install
