Hi guys,

I'm very new to ns, and I'm trying to figure out whether or not I'll
need to develop some new models for what I need to do. If found no
documentation on what I'm looking for. Can anyone tell me if ns has
support for any of the following?

- Underwater acoustic channels in which the noise level isn't uniformly
dispersed? (I.e., where there are point-sources of acoustic noise that
interfere with communication.)

- Underwater acoustic channels where certain propagation paths simply
don't exist? (The varied sound speed of water in a given environment
can lead to some really wacky propagation paths.)

- Directionally-transmitting modems. (The beam pattern can be somewhat
complex, because the directionality can be accomplished using a
multi-transducer array. This leads to a main lobe of sound in the
intended direction, and some weaker lobes of sound in directions
adjacent to the intended direction of transmission.)

- MAC protocols for any commercially available underwater acoustic
modems (such as WHOI MicroModems).

I'm very grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks,
Christian
