Here's a version of HH aka the Chorus Jig for Pastoral Pipes, generously
put online by Ross Anderson with the Sutherland Manuscript (+- 1785) - I
also find some parts have no "whistlin melody" except at ballistic
speeds, but that is down to personal taste again, and the virtuosity of
n listen to for more than 5
min before I get itchy for some Tangerine Dream or
Klaus Schultz, and that's what it's about, personal taste.
I reckon KT should have composed the tune and Sir P should have then
orchestrated it and filled in the rest of the program to his hearts
content-

Adrian, John, Matt and all -- thanks for the help on the infinitely
adaptable detached playing styles, I can separate this quite clearly now
from Bassoon -- Matt sorry about the manuscript bit - I have been
deep into middle english manuscript stuff and it just stuck -- should
really be Peac
y this ? I would appreciate any help because I
cannot get local expertise on trad style for NSP, musically I can fully
understand what was intended, it being very close to a Bassoon style ---
