How does one control headers and footers at the end of a part, such as a
chapter?
There are two scenarios I am trying to figure out, one in which the
the blank pages at the end of a part have headers, and one in which they
don't.
I can't figure out how to do either. Instead, I am getting a mixtu

if things run fine, you can just ignore the message; normally more methods are
used

children is minimum, as long as you choose sensible values for typesize
and column width. And much, much less than in MS Word, InDesign,
QuarkXPress etc.

I have a problem, when I place a graphic on a page, start columns,
and use a \chapter in that column. The following code demonstrates
it. I get the space needed for the graphic in the column, but the
graphic is already placed above the \startcolumns. Without the
\chapter the space vanishs.
