All,
I have Miktex installed.
Downloaded and installed:
http://minimals.contextgarden.net/setup/context-setup-mswin.zip to c:\context.
When I run startupcontext.bat (contains the setuptex.bat command), I can
compile at the dos prompt with either context sscon.tex or texmfstart texexec
sccon.

All,
I've installed Miktex, the latest version. Then I installed Minimal Context
following directions on: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ConTeXt_Minimals
Namely:
Download and unzip context-setup-mswin.zip
Run first-setup.bat, go for a coffee.
Ran the setuptex.bat as descibed.

It seems that there is a bug in converters.alphabetic function,
converters.alphabetic(0,"arabic") returns the western 0 (no matter what
is the selected language) while converters.alphabetic(1,"arabic") gives
the Arabic 0 not 1 and so one i.e. it looks like as if it starts
counting from zero.

Hi,
I've switched from Linux (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition) running from
within Windows XP + VirtualBox to a stand-alone Ubuntu installation.
Installed
- ConTeXt minimals in /opt/context
- SciTE through the Synaptic Package Manager, and followed the "SciTE in
ConTeXt" manual instructions :

As I have quite some legacy LaTeX-files I have Miktex 2.7, standalone
Context, and a Context minimals installation on my system. They co-exist

1. From the installer, you MAY not want to use the default destination
folder, 'Notepad++'.
texexec and company choke on directory names with characters like '+' in
them. So you could
change it to, eg, 'Notepadpp'. So if you plan on linking the
