Yes I get an error message with th eversion of mkiv you are mentioning (on
MacOS 10.14.6).
The error message is:
Undefined control sequence
...es \inheritmaintextcolor \strc_itemgroups_push
\handlenoteinsert ... \the \everybeforenotei

i forgot to add this to the mkiv version (lmtx is ok)
