I have 2 nics, both ixgbe driver, eth0 is used for capture, eth1 for admin.
When the machine starts or if I reload pf_ring "service pf_ring restart" eth1 is left with no
configuration. I have to manually "service networking restart" to connect the server to the admin
network again.

Can you please post the ntopng logs when the page hangs? I guess you should
see something like lua 'not enough memory' when this happens but I would
like to be sure.
Also please right-click on browser inspect element when the report is
loading and post any error.

The GUI hang you are experiencing has already been reported in github,
see https://github.com/ntop/ntopng/issues/813.
