The pfring deb used to put those libs into /usr/local/lib. Specifically, they are missing from http://packages.ntop.org/apt-stable/14.04/x64/pfring_6.4.1-1064_amd64.deb and the ntopng binary in http://packages.ntop.org/apt-stable/14.04/x64/ntopng_2.4.161220-2030_amd64.deb won't run without
