I misspoke about the logon script/AD thing. Only drive mappings are done
via login script. WSUS and everything else is done by AD.
Simon, your suggestion to run the script manually from the netlogon

WSUS not configured wouldn't be a login script, would it... a GPO issue, or
WSUS broken. Check gpresult /v, check c:\windows\windowsupdate.log.
Assuming group policy is OK and the script is running, mapped drives from
login scripts need help. You don't want to disable UAC to fix this - add
this
UAC being enabled shouldn't stop the login scripts from running. I have never
touched UAC on any of the networks I look after and the scripts run fine.
However WSUS setup should really be done with group policy, and if you are
doing registry entries and things like that, then those can be problem
UAC enabled?
