I am having OE troubles, it isnt completing something, and untill our rep runs FixIT
and enters
her pwd, no one can do OE after dayend is done? Anyideas, anyone running this ver in
2k terminal
server? Accpac says it isnt supported, as they have not done any testing, but I know
its been used!
I totally agree w/ you Don, HW Raid is way better, but I have used a sw
mirror w/ no trouble, ya there is an issue to make it bootable if need
be, but what other probs have you had?

I haven't seen a simpler set of docs then the reskit.
Setting up a secure, well performing website, and or Win2k network is
not something you should do if you require one of those ... for idiots
books. Pick it up, you'll be amazed at how well written, ands easy to
understand the reskit is...

I have used numerous times and it is a
very nice product.
I still think Ghost is the bomb!
Both are good products, youll like
both, and they will work with no prob.

Do you have another gpo that has no override or something?
I am pretty sure ISA has nothing to do with that, its all gpo's...

I rarely use the boot wizard cause I

Its not working, it reports the cmds

Any ideas?
Use SSL w/ OWA if you need lotsa sec, but one Q guys, isnt the max
connection for pro in the lic agreement limited to 10 concurrent
connections? If so, you will most likely violate that by using this box?
Goto www.microsoft.com/security and tool around from there.

Ps. Why Pro?
By default in a domain, the pdc should win the election. Unfortunately,
Windoze98 thinks it's the man, and in my experience wins the election
more often then not(I hate win9x). Check you event logs on the dc, see
if it was forced into an election, and lost.

No doubt, more then one nic on diff subnets w/ ics or blocked ports get
tricky on a dc. You probably did that all on one machine because of
budget constraints, but that is not an ideal setup so to speak. I am
betting its DNS issues as well!

Regardless of codered,

Good idea, the file is left alone.
That's a good quick backup method also, the .DNS files for non AD
domains can be easily copied. This kind of a restore is fast, and
unobtrusive.
