Was victum of waiting on virus defs from Symantec and 3 servers
got infected. They have been cleaned, and the whole network scanned, as
well as having Symantec's Nimda removal tool Should say PREMISSIONS REMOVAL TOOL IN
20pt RED FONT as it wipes out all your share permissions!! ran
See http://www.cert.org/ which recommends a complete clean. The reason for
this, I believe, is not because of Nimda, but because of one of the
vulnerabilities which it exploits - i.e. the backdoor left by code-red and
others. If you have had such a backdoor for even a short time, someone can
when you reinstall and have a nice clean system, make a ghost image for use
'next time'.
