Generally you are only going to use a 1/4 of the options. What I like is that it gives you a preview of what your setting will do to the files you have selected. When you're satisfied with the results, then you commit the changes. It's primarily aimed at people who work with audio files but I'm sure you network admins out there from time to time run into things like this. I'm not affiliated in any way with the developers.
