Gparted is free. Just make sure your image backups are recent and sound first.
You could also use the free trial of BootIt Bare Metal.

As far as I can remember, it doesn't work in XP, only vista or later.
My XP SP3 here has 5.1 installed.
The last time I was messing about with it, I used a VistaPE boot cd to do
the usb stuff.
Can't remember if the UBCD4Windows worked or not.
