all depends on your size. If simple tools don't work you need to look at
companies that specialized in software asset management from companies
like managesoft, express metrix, IBM, CA, BMC etc.
they do have neat whitepapers that can give you a blueprint of the
process. The trickiest part is probab

and it has gone pretty well.
One of my clients just got contacted by the BSA and so I will be doing a
full audit for them. I guess I will see how well this software really works
in comparison to the BSA tools :)

Compliance for me mostly comes down to my foot and what it will
connect to. But honestly, I work in a smaller shop so everything here
in regards to auditing is paper and spreadsheets.
I know what's installed since it was installed by me and no one else
has permissions to do otherwise. We are as
