Just an update, these messages are in the syslog when nut is no longer able to
communicate with the server:

Here are the results of a restart as well as a stop/start. Seems like it may
be the server? I tried to run the nut-server service with gdb, but no luck
getting it to work so far. Thanks!

Sorry, zipped this time. I honestly don't know. From what I can tell the
driver just stops. The process is still running according to ps aux when this
happens, but returns

"lsusb" always shows the UPS. It's always there with an ls -al.
I can start the thing, and it doesn't load wait a minute and try again and
it doesn't load
wait another minute and it loads then try to restart a minute later and it
doesn't load.
