A standard way to diagnose a "stuck" Java app is to generate a stack
trace by sending the QUIT signal to the JVM, e.g. "kill -QUIT ".
This should at least indicate which method it's hung on, if it is
indeed hung. Or, if you have a properly-configured debugger handy, try
