I would strongly recommend that you try it out on a desktop first.
It is fairly easy to setup a VM like VMware on your desktop (1GB RAM good
P4) with a minimal fedora install. I'm documenting these steps -- installing
a minimal Fedora, mysql, apache, php, jdk, tomcat, nutch, mod_jk in that
order
