I drove up from PA today and was treated to some great looks at the NORTHERN
WHEATEAR (Photos) which was hanging out on the dirt piles in the Airport

This breeding season over 300 Great Egrets were banded at their colonies
in western Lake Erie (Middle Sister Island) in Georgian Bay (Nottawasaga
Island and Chantry Island) and Motor I
This morning, Alice Deutsch and I birded Strawberry Fields and the
Ramble. Thanks to Sam Stuart, who helped find some great birds in
Strawberry Fields.

Strawberry Field in Central Park was very active this morning, at times
literally humming with the *zipps, chips* and *tiks* of warbler calls. The
weather last night was apparently superb for a fallout and I'm sure that
many other people are continuing to find other species throughout the pa

and it seems to be going to Greater based on the call that some folks heard (not
when I was there).
