Despite the lousy conditions this morning, birding was good at JBWR. The FOS
highlights (for me) were a pair of PECTORAL SANDPIPERS foraging on the shore of
the west pond in the company of a LESSER YELLOWLEGS and a SEMIPALMATED

One hundred one species were reported this week. The most-reported

I had a good look at a bluebird at Kissena Park this afternoon. It was
in the patch of trees between the grassy hill and the phragmities
marsh just south of Kissena Lake. As usual there were lots of sparrows
at the park. There were also several first of the year species.
