This morning before work, I stopped in quickly at Blydenburgh CP to assess any
arriving waterfowl on the pond. Around the south parking lot adjacent to the
pond was a good movement of migratory landbirds, including a female Summer
Tanager.
The pond held a decent variety of ducks, including an i

Sam Jannazzo, Debbie Martin, Kathy Drake and I saw the Say's Phoebe at 4pm
in the plowed field just west of the Parking lot at Caumsett State Park.
The bird was about one foot off of the ground as it feed on insects stirred
up by the plowing.

On the NYC Audubon Bryant Park walk this morning we had a great morning for
sparrows & thrushes, with five species of thrush (Hermit, Wood, Veery,
Swainson's, and Gray-cheeked!), and five sparrows (Eastern Towhee, Song, Swamp,

crest of the hill. The bird is not intimidated by the field plowing, which is
taking place north in the field where the bird is located. Very fine views

end of the west fields at Caumsett State Park. Follow directions from my
