On Sunday, October 16th, 3:30PM, there was a Common Raven vocalizing in the
vicinity of the Northport stacks (that would be in the town of Northport). I
was watching my son's soccer game on the adjacent fields and could not go to
look for it.
Not sure if this bird has been reported from this loc
While working out in the garden this afternoon I had a nice male yellowthroat
pop up next to me and also saw a bay-breasted warbler at the birdbath. Also,
forgot to report yesterday I had a couple more swifts flying over the house.

Joe Giunta, Sam Jannazzo, and I (Sy Schiff) joined by Steve Shellenger started
at the marina. The usual Fall gathering of migrant water fowl found 100+
American Oystercatchers on the bar, 500 + Double-crested Cormorants resting on
a sand bar on the other side of
A quick stop at the point this morning produced a few migrants including an
exhausted BLACKPOLL WARBLER and a LINCOLN'S SPARROW (South side of the main
parking lot). The GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE remains at Deep Hollow.
Ditch Plains had all three scoters (but mostly Black) and a few Common
Eider
