There seems to be some question about whether the Coney Island Creek and the
JBWR were the same bird. There is no doubt in my mind that they were two
different birds. While Heydi Lopes and I were watching the avocet in Coney

I also well remember the much discussed oriole that was at the Rockefeller
Preserve in Sleepy Hollow about ten years ago. The defining feature that was
pointed out then by someone of ID Frontiers was the the way the black marks
intrude on the upper white wing bar.

Hello All,Did some scouting today in Watermill with Kevin Nolan for
Saturdays Quogue to Watermill Count. Highlights on the ocean at Mecox were
4 Razorbills, all quite close,[ one was seen 5 yards from the sand], to the
beach riding on a tranquil sea. Lots of N. Gannets about and both Loons.
On a brief lunch stop at Bryant Park I easily found the Yellow Breasted
Chat today near the northeast corner of the park, hopping amongst the café
tables on the terrace that looks down over 5th Avenue. The Lincoln's
Sparrow was in a small, manicured patch of shrubbery about 50 feet south of
the pub
