The Rufous Hummingbird was seen during the entire day; both in the morning and
in the afternoon in the same area it has been feeding and perching during the
past two days (north entrance to the Museum). It is an extremely cooperative
bird that comes quite close to the observers and does not seem
Ooops, something went wrong.

Today the continuing hummingbird was seen by many birders and more images
were captured by several photographers.
One of my photos shows in more detail the molt occurring around the neck
area which Jacob mentioned yesterday.

a fleeting glimpse of back on 12/4.Hope it sticks around for the Brooklyn
CBC...and for me to get an identifiable look at it this Monday or Tuesday!

Just got off the phone with Jean Loscalzo who relayed a message from Corey
Finger who is at Floyd Bennett with Shawn Bilerman. Shawn and Corey found
a couple of good birds at FBF in a Northern Shrike and Marbled Godwit.
Despite the poor cell phone connection, I could make out that location for
the
Shawn Billerman just called me to report a Northern Shrike and a
Marbled Godwit (by the outflow pipe) at Floyd Bennett Field in
Brooklyn.

found Wed., & again Thursday, around flower plantings near the "Rose"
entry to the (planetarium & museum entry of the) American Museum of
Natural History (AMNH) on West 81 St
