My name is Makayla Boyd and I sent out an email a few weeks ago requesting
responses to an online survey pertaining to bird feeder hygiene (see following
paragraphs). We have not yet received enough responses to the survey to use it
in our research project. I am just

Stopped by MNSA, Oceanside after the fog began to lift. A calling CLAPPER RAIL
came out into a ditch and gave us a show.
Baldwin Park has several lighted Baseball fields. One light bank by the soccer
parking lot has an OSPREY nest on top with resident tenant on it and a second
light
Spent a few hours strolling through the park looking for the great horned
owls with out luck. Did see fos pine warbler singing, e.phoebe, and about a
half dozen rusty blackbirds at turtle pd. Also sharpie and red tail along
with many robins and juncos and other normal species.

Just sending out a report for Doug Bloom who called me this morning to let me
know he had what appeared to be two Orinoco Geese with Canadas at Harbor Island
Park in Mamaroneck. They were scared away eventually by a dog walker. They
sure traveled a long way:-) They were not there in the late
I took a quick stroll around the north end of the Brown's River at around
6:00 PM. I was delighted and surprised to find 5 Rusty Blackbirds. Equal to
the excitement of seeing the Rusty's was the fact that 3 of the 5 birds
were singing. This is the first time that I have heard Rusty Blackbirds
belt
