Spent my lunch hour at sterling forest. Both kites present in the general vicinity. At one point the male caught a dragonfly and shared it with the female, which i was able to photograph. Otherwise they spent most of the time perched and preening. If you're on Facebook, check out my Photo page

I led an NYC Audubon walk through Green-Wood Cemetery on a hot, sunny day over the weekend, and we saw somewhat more species than I expected.  At this late date I suspect all of them were breeders. The main draw of course were the Monk Parakeets nesting over the gate, and they were loudly
