I am providing a link to photos of the Common Linnet that I took on Sunday,
Nov. 10 in the Kissena Corridor in Queens. This bird was first sighted by Seth
Ausubel in October. I found it in a mixed flock of sparrows and finches.

At least one Red-headed Woodpecker remains at Turtle Cove on the wood chip
trail alongside the driving range fence.
The area remains quite birdy, with several White-throated Sparrows, Swamp and
Song Sparrows. There are flocks of Cedar Waxwings and Red-winged Blackbirds
feeding on berries along

On our drive from Long Lake to Tupper Lake for a memorial service, I spotted
2 Gray Jays foraging at the side of the road near John Dillon Park (along
Route 30). I have been observing Gray Jays in this location on about 50% of
