Morning Observations: The normal saltmarsh visitors include: Clapper Rails, Yellow and Black-crowned Night Herons, Glossy Ibis, Green Heron, Least and Forster's Terns. Willets with chicks, Tree Swallows have/are in the process of fledgling. Saltmarsh Sparrows are scattered throughout the marsh.

I had a Chuck-will's-widow singing at the T intersection of Napeague Meadow Road and Lazy Point Rd. in Napeague (Amagansett) this evening at around 8:45pm. The bird then flew from its perch directly over my head. Pretty cool. There were Whip-poor-wills at almost every stop along the Western end of
