Today I spotted a Eurasian Collared-dove at Dyckman Fields, next to Inwood
park at the northern end of Manhattan. The bird was in heavy tail molt, but
its large size, unspotted wings, and distinctively patterned tail were
clearly visible.
Perhaps not very worth chasing following the long-staying
Today at 3 pm Jim Cullen and I had the previously reported Baird’s sandpiper in
the exact location described by Eileen Schwinn and Mike Higgiston(see their
post of Sept. 2)
thanks

At approx 6pm I observed a Connecticut Warbler in Brooklyn's prospect park. The
bird was walking in the leaf litter inside the fence behind the upper pool near
a large fallen tree. I observed the bird walking south for about ten feet
before it passed under the Space between the fallen three
18 Common Nighthawks over the Hauppauge High School (Suffolk County) at 6PM. It
looked like more were coming thru but I couldn’t stay any longer.
