Hi all,
I am sorry for the brief emails earlier. I was on a rock climbing trip with
almost no time to post. Anyway, there were a lot of warblers at the

Warbler was present from 10am until 6:15pm at least. It was near the

I know how easy it is to fire off an email from smartphones, but **PLEASE**
take that extra minute to type out more specifically WHERE a bird sighting
occurred. Some of these iPhone/Android/Smartphone messages are coming through
with incredibly cryptic location information, or none at all.

The Kentucky Warbler in Prospect Park was relocated this morning by Bobbi
Manion on the wood chip path between the Butterfly Meadow leading down to
staircase towards the Maryland Monument.
The bird was reported as chipping occasionally, but did not sing.
For those new to the park, the Butterfly
Birds picked up a little yesterday. In addition to all the regulars and
recently arriving Catbirds and Hermit Thrushes, there were a couple of
Baltimore Orioles, an Ovenbird, and a Common Yellow-throated Warbler.
Happy Birding,
Alan Drogin
