Between 6:45 and 7:15 pm, I counted 59 Common Nighthawks from a vantage point in Route 25A in East Setauket. They passed over a broad front, with some lingering, evidently to feed. Also more than 50 Chimney Swifts, as well as a great many American Robins heading toward (I presume) a roost site.
